The characters like this one that span many brands and companies are no longer showing up on a search of the Doll Character section.  You can't find them by browsing the section either.  Could we have a spot for them somewhere?  I really enjoy seeing the traditional dolls like Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood, and others in many variations.  I think there are a lot of people who collect by character.

I guess they do show up individually in a search of the whole site, but it would be nice to be able to browse them.

Oops! The full characters list got accidently removed. I've put it back under Library > Characters. I plan to (eventually) add a lot of minor characters from the books that were never made into dolls, so I thought it might be useful to have a complete list of all characters over in the Library and just the doll characters grouped by company and brand over in the Dollipedia.

I'm still working on the grouped list over in the Dollipedia. Some characters are showing up multiple times (like the Magic Attic girls) because of the fact that their brand was owned by multiple companies over time. I'm trying to get the list to not have these duplicates.

Do you think it's worth having two lists of characters this way? (Some, like Alice here, would be on both lists.)

Thanks, Maria.  I like the idea of having a list of the characters that didn't get made into dolls. You mean like the AG historicals brothers and sisters?  I'm working on making some of my own for the mini AG's.  I have Nan and William Merriman and am working on Baby Polly.

I think having both lists is fine.  It might be helpful to mention something like - more charaters can be found...  at the top of the dollepedia list.  I probably wouldn't have thought to look in the library for characters.

I am constantly impressed at your ability to organize this site.  Doll collecting doesn't really fall into cut and dry organizational groupings, does it?

The doll world is surprisingly complicated, isn't it? Thanks for your feedback, as usual -- that's a great idea about the note at the top of the Dollipedia list.
