Cécile & Marie-Grace's Half-Canopy Bed

In the 1850s, young ladies freshened up at a fancy vanity like this one, complete with a ceramic pitcher and bowl and toiletries. This very special piece of furniture has an adjustable mirror and a drawer with metal handles that really opens. The set features:

  • A wooden vanity stand with an adjustable oval mirror and a working drawer to store morning accessories
  • A ceramic pitcher and bowl, each with a pretty hummingbird design
  • An embroidered linen towel that hangs from the side metal towel bar
  • Pretty pretend bottles of lavender and rosewater

Originally, this was called Marie-Grace's vanity but later it was generalized to be for either girl.
