A letter from Briana on the web site:

Hi!
I'm Briana from the USA!

I love decorating my house for the holidays. I put the stockings up on the fireplace and put presents under the tree. On Christmas Eve I put on my favorite party dress and sing carols with my family. I sure hope it snows this year!

Love, Briana

And another:

Hello!

Or, should I say Umoja? That is our Kwanzaa greeting. This is the time of year African Americans celebrate Kwanzaa, a joyous celebration of the oneness and goodness of life.

Kwanzaa is centered around 7 principles with emphasis on unity of our Black families. My friend Michael's favorite principle is kujichagulia, which means self-determination. My favorite principle is imani, which means faith.

Kwanzaa is not just a celebration. It is a way of life! Wish you were here to celebrate with us!
